The Pre-Senior Baccalaureate

A skills-based assessment model, refined over more than a decade, that develops and celebrates everything a child needs to flourish — and prepares them for a confident start at senior school.

What is the PSB?

An education that develops the whole child

The PSB is a programme of study that actively develops and tracks knowledge, skills and attitudes — preparing children academically, personally, socially, culturally and spiritually for the challenges of life as young adults.

With exit points at 11+ and 13+, it gives schools a richer, more complete record of achievement than results alone — recognised by senior schools alongside their own entrance assessments.

The focus

Life-long skills at the core

Adaptable thinkers

Develop flexible, adaptable intelligence — and bridge the skills gap a content-based curriculum can leave behind.

Confident communicators

Promote excellent communication and a genuine love of learning that challenges pupils' perceptions of school.

Real collaborators

Ensure collaboration and teamwork sit at the heart of learning, fostering application in every individual.

Membership

The benefits of joining the PSB
